This year, the day after the U.S. elections, is National Stress Awareness Day.

Given votes are still being counted (as of 2pm Eastern Time) for the U.S. elections, I can’t imagine a better day to take time out to be aware of the stress in our lives, how it affects us, and what we can do to cope with stress. Continue reading Happy National Stress Awareness Day

Photo of the Week: Irruption Year for Evening Grosbeaks

If you’re in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, or New York, you may soon see a striking black, yellow, and white bird a little smaller than an American Robin at your feeders.

Evening Grosbeaks are moving south this year, with dozens of birders reporting them this week in southeastern and central Michigan.
