Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of September 11th in Southeast Michigan

This Friday, September 11, 2026, marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States.

The attacks destroyed the World Trade Center twin towers in New York City, damaged part of the Pentagon, and killed almost 3,000 people.

It was a day many Americans will never forget: the shock, the fear, and the grief of what happened.

On the tenth anniversary of the attacks, I wrote about my own experience on September 11.

Online and in-person events will take place throughout the United States to commemorate the anniversary, honor the lives lost that day, and pay tribute to all the first responders, police officers, and firefighters.

I searched for and found 9/11 events happening throughout southeast Michigan.

All events listed are on September 11, 2026. Times are Eastern Daylight Time.
