It took almost the entire afternoon. But with the help of 20 other pairs of birding eyes, and some fresh peach pie from Blackberry Tavern to boost my energy, I found the elusive, mega rare Limpkin.

Why is it mega rare?

Because the Limpkin’s habitat is Florida and the river swamps of Georgia.

Almost one thousand miles south of Lake Erie.

UX Win: Get Together Signup Form

Get Together signup form with username, password, confirm password fields.

Imagine you’re signing up for a new online service and their signup form is asking for your username and password.

Seems pretty straightforward, right?

You enter your preferred username and use an online password generator to add your secure password with letters, numbers, and symbols.

And select their Signup button.

You wait a few seconds, only to receive a warning message that your password doesn’t fit their requirements.

You can’t use the backslash or ampersand symbol in your password.

Refresh Detroit is a local web design meetup group focused on accessibility, usability, and web standards.

I’ve been a member of the group for 13 years and co-organizer of the group since 2007. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ve seen my promotions of our Refresh Detroit events.
