Business Roundtable on Pricing and Strategies

When I first started creating websites, I did pro-bono work for nonprofits and local faith organizations.

Transitioning to a pricing model was a big step for me.

And I had a lot of hiccups along the way.

I remember one prospective client from years ago who asked for a website with new logo design, multiple forms, photo gallery, and online forum, but only wanted to pay $100 for their site.

By that time, I had learned about pre-screening my prospective clients.

I didn’t take on that project.

Mississagi freighter travels along the Detroit River

While I do a fair amount of bird watching at Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan, one of other hobbies I enjoy while I’m on the island is watching the freighters on the Detroit River.

It’s fun to see the Algowood in the fog or Dorothy Ann-Pathfinder traveling the waters on their way upbound to the Soo Locks or downbound to Windsor or cities further south.

This weekend I saw the Mississagi freighter on one of its last trips for the season, downbound on the Detroit River shipping channel to Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Continue reading Photo of the Week: Mississagi Freighter on the Detroit River
