For my new client with an existing WordPress website, I had a number of puzzles to solve.

Which created new learning opportunities for me.

My new client’s site used Understrap, a theme I’ve never worked with before. My client has their hosting account with a web host using cPanel, but offers different administrative options (no developer access).

And the site design made extensive use of Advanced Custom Fields Pro, a plugin I’ve never used.

Accessibility New York City: Using Task-Oriented Walk Throughs for Accessibility Reviews

While the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted meetup events around the world, it’s wonderful to see groups like Accessibility New York City and Chicago Digital Accessibility and Inclusive Design transition to hosting virtual-only events.

I personally know that both group organizers are well-versed in offering livestreamed events; I’ve attended several of their events over the past few years.

Thanks to Heydon Pickering’s tweet this morning, I discovered a new online tool.

The Accessibility Support website allows you to check whether the code element or attribute you wrote is supported in browsers and assistive technology.
