When my friend David Brooks announced the launch of the Mr. Meaner app, I was excited to try it out.

Mr. Meaner allowed you to find out what laws apply in the state you’re traveling in.

Use the mobile app to find out if you can use your smartphone while driving in Illinois (no) or whether U-turns are legal in Michigan (yes, with exceptions).

David posted a short, less than one-minute video about Mr. Meaner.

Accessibility Win: Hope Video About Detroit

When I read Julie Hind’s tweet yesterday about a new inspirational short video about Detroit, I quickly selected the link.

Some background: I live in metro Detroit, but many of my activities, friends, and clients are in the city.

Our Metro Detroit WordPress and Refresh Detroit meetup events are held in the city.

And before the COVID-19 outbreak, I was birdwatching in Detroit several times a month.

Detroit has been hit hard by COVID-19, with a high number of cases and deaths.

Each day I read heartbreaking stories about the individuals and families whose loved ones have died from COVID-19 in our area.

Asking Video Producers to Add Captions

If you’re a longtime reader of my blog, you know I’m an avid birdwatcher.

My weekends are filled with hikes in the backwoods, along lakeshores and farm fields, gazing at the sky and peering through tree branches for a glimpse of birds.
