Wait, did you see that statue?

It moved!

I smiled as I heard someone say that to their friend as they walked by me at the Western & Southern Open tennis tournament last week in Mason, Ohio.

For the past few years, I’ve been delighted to see members of the Cincinnati Circus entertain the crowds as gold-colored living statues.

I remember the first time I saw a living statue at the tournament; I did a double-take.

After a successful morning of birdwatching (finding the endangered Whooping Crane in mid-Michigan) yesterday, I stopped for lunch in Chelsea, Michigan on the way home.
