Photo of the Week: David Zinn’s Art at TEDxDetroit 2018

As I crossed Temple on my way to TEDxDetroit 2018, I recognized the artist crouched on the sidewalk in front of Masonic Temple.

David Zinn, an Ann Arbor-based artist, was quickly creating one of his signature colorful street art illustrations on the sidewalk near the entrance.

What cool art!

Did you know the flying pig is Philomena and the green monster is Sluggo? They appear often in Zinn’s art.

While people in southeast Michigan know of David Zinn’s street art in and around Ann Arbor, Michigan, he is well-known around the world for his work.

I’ve seen the result of his work, but never saw him actually working on his street art.

I had a lovely conversation with him about his work and TEDxDetroit.

Glad he was a part of TEDxDetroit this year!
