Affinity Ends 90-Day Free Trial and 50% Product Discount June 30, 2021

In spring 2020, I was impressed when I learned Affinity was offering a 90-day free trial and 50 percent discounts off products to support people during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their products—alternatives to expensive licensing of Adobe’s Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign—offer a significant savings to designers, students, artists, and anyone who needs to manage and edit creative works.

I’ve been a fan of Affinity for years, and last week recommended their products to a former higher ed colleague looking for Adobe Illustrator and InDesign alternatives.

Originally, Affinity’s generous offer was available through June 20, 2020, but was extended in January 2021.

With no end date for the discount.

As with all good discounts, they come to an end.

When one of my friends asked on Twitter for recommendations for a new domain registrar, it reminded me I had a domain registrar draft post I never finished.

Their tweet prompted me to finally finish this post.

Choosing a domain registrar takes time and planning.

You don’t want to move a new registrar only to discover their online interface is confusing to use.

Or that the domain registrar has limited customer support hours.

And in my opinion, you want to keep your domain registration and web hosting at different companies.

Yourbrowser.is: Quickly Discover Browser and Configuration Settings

The urgent message came from one of my contacts at a long-time client.

They were trying to update a website page and the page kept bouncing and jumping around.

Were other people visiting the website seeing the same problem?

I confirmed their page displayed correctly on desktop and mobile when I tried to edit it.

Not sure why my client was encountering problems, I replied back, asking my client to visit another website.
