While spring officially started on March 20, almost two weeks ago, you wouldn’t know it by the weather in southeast Michigan this weekend.

Last night’s cold front brought frigid temperatures and snow flurries, which left a dusting of snow over everything.

Including the Alpheus Starkey Williams statue in the middle of Belle Isle State Park in Detroit, Michigan.

Photo of the Week: Family of Great Horned Owls

It’s not often you get a chance to see a pair of Great Horned Owls raising their young.

I’m feeling very fortunate to have viewed the family through my binoculars, camera, and spotting scope as the young fledglings grew over the past month.
