The Chenille Sisters Perform with Washtenaw Community College President Whitworth

Yesterday morning at Washtenaw Community College, our staff and faculty had the privilege of hearing local Ann Arbor singers The Chenille Sisters perform at the opening of our fall in-service.

It wasn’t long before the audience was clapping to the beat and laughing at the lyrics of the songs. Great way to start the program!

For the last song, The Chenille Sisters wanted a male voice to join in for their last song. Imagine your college president joining the singing trio on stage to end the show!

Many thanks to Kathy Stadtfeld at the college for the video of the Chenille Sisters and President Whitworth performing Pink Cadillac.

I loved the song they ended the show with, they performed it at the 2010 Governor’s Service Awards earlier this year.

Summer Vacation at Michigania

We just returned from a great vacation at Camp Michigania, the family camp run by the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan. Our family has been going to camp for years – sailing, kayaking, horseback riding, playing tennis, hiking, bird-watching, and lots of other activities.

Here are a few pictures from the past week. My favorite photo is Cookie Man delivering freshly baked cookies (still warm!) to people waiting on the dock.
