I was up early before the sun rose on Thanksgiving Day.

Not to start making rolls and side dishes to accompany our turkey dinner later in the day.

I was on my way to Detroit to watch the annual Thanksgiving Day parade in person, along with thousands of other people who joined me on a cold, gray morning to line Woodward Avenue.

Celebrate Web Standards: Blue Beanie Day Returns November 30

It’s back!

This Saturday, November 30, 2019, web designers, developers, content strategists, information architects, user experience professionals, accessibility specialists, programmers—heck, everyone involved with creating, publishing, and coding on the web—will celebrate the thirteenth Blue Beanie Day.

Web folks around the world will celebrate web standards by publishing articles, talking about web standards, and updating their avatar with a blue beanie.
