You’ll want to set aside time for WordFest Live 2021, a free 24-hour global celebration of the WordPress community that begins January 21, 2021 (Coordinated Universal Time).
The virtual event has over 40 sessions for the WordPress community.
Whether you’re a beginner WordPress user or a developer that’s been creating themes and plugins for years, you’ll find a session to interest you.
What is WordFest?
Organized by a team of WordCamp organizers, WordFest is a 24-hour online event, brought to you by A Big Orange Heart.
WordFest aims to bring together people in the WordPress community in a safe environment to talk about WordPress, remote work, and mental health.
Virtual stage, tents, and groups for networking and conversation are part of WordFest.
Sessions for the global event move between four time zones:
- Oceania: 10:00AM to 4:00PM Australian Eastern Daylight Time
- Asia: 10:30AM to 4:30PM Indian Standard Time
- EMEA: 11:00AM to 5:00PM Coordinated Universal Time
- Americas: noon until 6:00PM Eastern Standard Time
You can tell the organizers recognize attendees will come from around the world; each session includes a link to view the event in your local time.

What You Need to Know
WordFest Live 2021 is free (optional donation) and kicks off January 21, 2021. Pre-registration is required.
The online event features 48 sessions held over 24 hours, across four different stages.
You’ll want to review the schedule carefully for sessions you’re interested in. Note: the schedule is subject to change.
My recommendation: check the schedule the day before WordFest begins to confirm the times for sessions.

This is the first time I’ve attended WordFest.
