The inaugural Web Accessibility in Mind Conference, a two-day virtual conference hosted by WebAIM in partnership with Pope Tech, launches September 7-8, 2022.
Held online using Zoom, the free conference runs from noon to 5:00pm Eastern Time zone, with a one-hour break at 2:00pm each day.
Live captioning and ASL interpretation will be provided. The schedule is not yet available, but is expected to be published soon.
About the Web Accessibility in Mind Conference
According to the website, the Web Accessibility in Mind conference will provide attendees with content to mature their practice in digital accessibility with the goals of:
- Providing a diverse range of perspectives from a diverse group of speakers
- Sharing solutions to accessibility challenges
- Giving advice/guidance to help attendees to actively contribute to providing more accessible digital spaces
- Bring together a cross section of public and private sector tech professionals from small and large organizations

- Lainey Feingold, disability rights lawyer and author
- Reginé Gilbert, UX designer, author, and digital accessibility advocate
- Corbb O’Connor, manager of accessibility testing at Siteimprove

- Crystal Preston-Watson, senior digital accessibility analyst at Salesforce
- Stéphanie Walter, UX researcher and designer at Maltem Consulting
- Thomas Watkins, principal UX architect at 3Leaf, LLC
- Léonie Watson, director of TetraLogical

When I learned about the conference last week, I quickly registered!
I was glad to recognize several of the speakers, but there are a few I’m not familiar. I’m looking forward to their talks.
