Updating the Blogroll: Spring 2025

It’s time for another blogroll update.

I’ve removed a couple sites, replacing them with:

  • Historic Detroit: an excellent site to learn stories (and see some amazing photos) of Detroit’s historic places
  • Positive News: highlighting uplifting stories and news from around the world

What is a Blogroll?

If you’re not familiar with it, a blogroll is a collection of links to other websites and blogs a writer or blogger finds interesting, reads regularly, and wants to share with their readers.

I had a blogroll years ago, removed it, and after 10+ years, added it back to my site in January 2024.

My blogroll displays in a column on desktop/laptop and above the site footer on mobile devices.

Why the Update?

I found some different sites I regularly visit and wanted to share with my readers.

My blogroll continues to focus on my interests:

  • Birding
  • Science
  • Nature
  • Gardening
  • Detroit-area stories

as well as links to friends’ sites I’ve followed for years.

If you haven’t added a blogroll to your site, consider it! Blogrolls are a wonderful way to share your interests with readers, and highlight some of the fascinating sites you read.
