TEDxDetroit 2020: A Different Look, Same Inspiring Messages

This year’s TEDxDetroit 2020 event kicked off this morning with the same enthusiasm, excitement, and inspirational messages as prior TEDxDetroit events.

While COVID-19 didn’t allow TEDxDetroit 2020 to be an in-person event this year, it didn’t deter the organizers who adapted and moved the event online.

With negative politics and the pandemic news headlining the news and social media, I was thrilled to hear the hopeful messages from speakers.

In his opening remarks, TEDxDetroit organizer Charlie Wollborg said our challenge is if we close ourselves off to new ideas, we don’t grow.

Creativity and new ideas come from cross-pollination, said Wollborg.

Innovation is nothing more than combining ideas in new and different ways.

All sessions from TEDxDetroit have been recorded and are available on YouTube. Since I’m not sure what their license is, I’m not embedding their videos on this site.

Here’s some of the social media conversations from TEDxDetroit 2020:
