Happy National Lighthouse Day!

White two-story lighthouse with red roof has a rising white lighthouse tower in the back, green lawn and stone wall along the perimeter of the grounds.

It’s a gorgeous day in southeast Michigan. Cooler temperatures, nice breeze, bright sunshine, and blue skies have me feeling like it’s already autumn.

It feels like you’re in a tunnel of trees, only dappled light makes it way through the shadows.

Cliffs on the north edge of the road drop more than 50 feet, raising every driver’s heartbeat a bit as they drive to the overlook. Continue reading Photo of the Week: Mission Hill Cemetery Overlook in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula
