Yes, the photo in today’s post was taken in the past week in southeast Michigan.
If you didn’t know it was late spring, with temperatures in the mid-60’s to mid-70’s Fahrenheit, you might think the white fluff covering the grass and asphalt trail was snow.

Winter wasn’t done with southeast Michigan as a cold front blew through last week, bringing with it almost an inch of snow.
Snow accumulated on rooftops, grass, and evergreens.
But not on streets or sidewalks, where it quickly melted.

This past week has been amazing with a new sign of spring for southeast Michigan showing up each day!
One of my favorite signs of spring was seeing a garter snake slithering on top of fallen dead oak and maple leaves along the Lakeside Trail at the University of Michigan-Dearborn campus.
