Canoes along Newburgh Pointe lakeshore give way to the reflection of red and gold colors of the trees on the opposite shore

It was a classic sunny autumn day in southeastern Michigan when I stopped at Newburgh Pointe at Edward Hines Park in Livonia, Michigan.

Cloudy skies kept many classic car owners away from today’s Cruisin’ Hines fourth annual car cruise on Edward Hines Drive, but there were still plenty of cars for car buffs and hot rodders to ooh and ahh over.

Edward Hines Drive was closed for about six miles between Nankin Mills and the Ford Road entrance for the annual cruise so vehicle owners could show off their 25 years or older cars and trucks. Continue reading Photo of the Week: Cruisin’ Hines

It was a beautiful summer evening last Friday when I stopped at Newburgh Pointe at Edward Hines Park. The canoe livery was shutting down for the evening, fisherman were out on the dock, and several people were sitting on the benches watching the sunset.
