Remember and Honor: Memorial Day 2021

This morning I joined more than 150 community members at our Canton Township Memorial Day service at Heritage Park to honor and remember those who died in service to the United States.

Hosted by the Canton Fire Department, the Memorial Day service marked the 10th anniversary of our Veteran’s Memorial Center.

The center honors the “Fallen 22” Marines deployed for duty in 2006-07 to Iraq who made the ultimate sacrifice. Continue reading Remember and Honor: Memorial Day 2021

The blue color caught my eye as I walked down the sidewalk, on my way to lunch with family members at one of our favorite restaurants.

The snow has been coming down steadily since I woke up this morning, a light snow that’s covering everything white in a winter wonderland in southeast Michigan. I took this photo on the south side of Canton, Michigan, near Michigan Avenue.
