With last week’s below zero wind chill temperatures and yesterday’s icy rain, I was glad to finally get outside and do some birding and hiking in our neighborhood park.

It was a gray cloudy day when I reached Seney National Wildlife Refuge in the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan over Memorial Day weekend.
