Last week I was thrilled to finally see my first Red-headed Woodpecker ever. A life bird for me! This week, I was even more excited when I managed to see both the Red-headed Woodpecker and the Red-bellied Woodpecker in the same tree. Photo shot at Pearson Metropark, east of Toledo, Ohio. One of the prettiest birds for me to see in spring, other than the warblers, is the White-throated Sparrow.
