Wait, can you go around the block again? I saw something interesting on that building and want to check it out.

That’s what I asked my husband when we were in Cincinnati, driving around downtown at dusk, looking for a place to eat dinner.

Growing up in southeast Michigan, I knew about Detroit’s Fisher Building early on from local radio station WJR which broadcasts from the “golden tower of the Fisher Building” as well as the Fisher Theater, where I’ve attended plays and musicals for years.

And when you walk around midtown Detroit, there’s no way you can miss the 30-story skyscraper towering over the rest of the buildings at the corner of Woodward and West Grand Boulevard in the New Center. Continue reading Photo of the Week: Fisher Building

I placed my water bottle carefully on the carpet under my seat in the amphitheater. A quick glance to the stage four rows away revealed the next speaker was almost ready to start their talk at the conference.
