Recap: WordCamp Miami 2015, How to Manage All of Your WordPress Sites with Jetpack

Thanks to their livestreamed sessions, I was able to attend the WordCamp Miami 2015 conference from home in Michigan.

WordCamp Miami is a three-day event, with workshops, sessions, and panels, for business people, bloggers, designers, developers, programmers—anyone interested in WordPress.

I started my day with the first session in the How To track: How to Manage All of Your WordPress Sites with Jetpack by Chase Livingston.

A Happiness Engineer at Automattic, Livingston discussed how you can write posts, update plugins, and manage site settings from one central location using Jetpack and WordPress.com.

Here are my notes from his talk.

What is Jetpack?

Jetpack is a free plugin, available on the WordPress repository, that makes managing your site (or multiple sites) easier. There are over 30 modules you can install within Jetpack. Photon, Related Posts, and Publicize are three well-known modules.

Jetpack’s power comes from its connection with WordPress.com.

To enable Jetpack Manage, once you’ve logged in to your site, go to Jetpack > Settings > Manage > Activate.
