Photo of the Week: Winter Has Arrived in Southeast Michigan

It’s more than a month before the official start of winter on December 21 in our area, but winter has definitely arrived in southeast Michigan.

Snow showers came down in our area more than a week ago, but didn’t stick.

The ground was too warm and the snow slowly melted away.

Not the case this past week.

Colder weather swept through our area, and heavy thick snowflakes came down, coating everything in sight.

Including my burning bush in my front courtyard, creating a magical look of white snow on top of the branches.

If you look closely, you’ll see a few brightly colored burning bush leaves as well as bright red fruit on the snow-covered branches.
