While I’m glad we had a real winter in southeast Michigan this year, with no major early warmups, I’m ready to say farewell to wind chills in the single digits, snow showers, and temperatures over 40 degrees Fahrenheit we’ve had in the past week.
I was thrilled to see more signs of spring show up in the garden, as I saw the tips of tulip buds poking through the frozen ground in the last two days.
A few low mounds of snow are still in the neighborhood, but I expect they’ll disappear in the next few days as 50+ degrees Fahrenheit temperatures are forecast.
