With the deep cold we’ve had this winter, I’ve been looking for any sign of spring. Last Friday, we had temperatures over 50 degrees Fahrenheit with bright sunshine.
Only to be followed by a cold front moving through depositing an inch of snow overnight last night.
Which brought with it temperatures in the mid-teens and low-twenties.
Thankfully, we have bright sunshine and blue skies to balance out the cold weather.
And a sign of spring: my Stella d’Oro daylily sprouted with about an inch of green leaves showing up above the soil.
If you’re wondering when spring arrives in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s today (March 1) for meteorological spring.
Only 19 more days until astronomical spring arrives in our area on March 20!
