It was a beautiful summer evening last Friday when I stopped at Newburgh Pointe at Edward Hines Park. The canoe livery was shutting down for the evening, fisherman were out on the dock, and several people were sitting on the benches watching the sunset.
A classical guitarist added to the wonderful setting of a peaceful summer evening on the water.
I caught this picture of the summer blooms from the rain garden. It’s amazing how much has changed since early summer.
The mallows are in full bloom, the milkweed seeds are lazily drifting about, and the bright yellow rudbeckia add a striking contrast to the garden.
