With winter finally arriving in southeast Michigan this weekend with snow and cold temperatures, it was the right weekend for me to enjoy the inaugural Michigan Central Station Winter Festival, a new winter event hosted by Ford Motor Company in Detroit, Michigan.
The free ten-day festival is open to the public, offering music, games, art, food trucks, ice carving, retail shops, and a fantastic 3-D light show that displays on the front of the building at night.
Roasting a marshmallow outside for s’mores in one degree Farenheit wasn’t exactly what I planned for a weekend evening, but I can finally say I did it!
I was grateful for the heated tent to bring warmth back to my fingers after standing outside to take photos of the light show.
