When I was growing up, there wasn’t any sound better than hearing the jingle of the Good Humor ice cream truck on a summer afternoon.
We would hear the familiar chiming sound long before the truck showed up on our street.
Giving us enough time to look in our pockets, search under the couch cushions, and beg mom and dad for some change so we could run down the street and buy our favorite ice cream.
It was hard to choose which ice cream bar to get, but I have memories of enjoying a Creamsicle, Strawberry Shortcake, and Vanilla Sandwich.
When I saw the Good Humor ice cream truck at today’s Cruisin’ Hines car show along Edward Hines Drive in Westland, Michigan, all those wonderful childhood memories came back to me.
