Photo of the Week: All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go

When I wrote about the scary tree in Ypsilanti in 2017, I thought it was a Halloween decoration.

Someone is having fun dressing the old tree next to the cemetery for Halloween with big, green googly eyes and a black mouth with gnashing teeth.

Except this year when I passed by the cemetery, I noticed the tree looked different each week.

One week, it looked like a “Vote now!” promotion, with red, white, and blue colors and a large hat reminiscent of Uncle Sam.

The next week, it had an entirely different look, with a floppy hat, bright yellow eyes, and lion nose with a bright multi-colored bow tie.

Which is when I took this photo.

Looks like the tree is all dressed up for a party, but has nowhere to go.

Maybe I’m wrong, and the tree is trying on different costumes each week until Halloween arrives on October 31st?

Can’t wait to see what costume the tree has on next week!
