For me and many other Michiganders, that means one of our fall weekend days is spent picking apples and enjoying apple cider with donuts at our local cider mill with family and friends.
Which is what I hoped to do today.
Except Mother Nature had other plans.
While the sun rose at dawn as a brilliant golden orb throwing yellow and orange streaks across the sky, gray clouds moved in an hour later.
And never disappeared.
The rain came in late morning and we’ve had showers ever since.
My plans to share photos of our local Plymouth Cider Mill, the apple orchard, and picking apples turned into photos of already picked bags of apples as well as baked goods inside the cider mill store.
Where we dashed when the rains started.
At least we enjoyed a cup of hot cider with cinnamon sugar donuts as we watched the rain come down!
