Produced by Knowbility, well-known in the digital accessibility community for its programs and services, the AccessU conference features workshops, sessions, demos, roundtables, and networking events.

This year’s AccessU is a hybrid conference, offering in-person and virtual events.

About AccessU

Named for the late John Slatin, an early leader in web accessibility who worked at the University of Texas, AccessU 2022 is a four-day conference offering a range of learning opportunities for in-person and virtual attendees.

Pre-conference workshops kick off Monday, May 9, 2022 with instructors leading deep dives in:

  • Front-end patterns

  • Mobile apps
  • Usability with people with disabilities

On May 10th, live sessions of 90 to 180 minutes begin, covering five tracks:

  • Content/documents

Sessions range from beginner to advanced.

On Wednesday, May 11, live sessions continue, along with live Q&A and demos followed by an evening escape room event for onsite and virtual attendees.

What You Need to Know

This year’s John Slatin AccessU 2022 conference, Digital Inclusion: The New Normal, begins May 9, 2022 with one day of pre-conference workshops followed by three days of training and Q&A sessions.

All events are U.S. Central Daylight Savings Time. The full-day workshop and conference sessions start each day at 8:30AM Central Daylight Time.

Zoom will be used for conference hybrid sessions and events. In addition, Slack will be used for communication and networking.
