Celebrating the 91st Thanksgiving Day Parade in Detroit

What a wonderful way to kick off the Thanksgiving holiday at the 91st Thanksgiving Day Parade in Detroit, now known as America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!

I woke up early this morning to claim my spot on Woodward Avenue, along with thousands of other Michiganders, to watch the annual parade of floats, balloons, clowns, and marching bands.

Temperatures may have been in the thirties, but that didn’t keep families away from the parade.

Or yelling out, “spin, spin, spin” as balloon handlers made their way to downtown Detroit.

Check out a few more of the photos from this morning’s parade.
