Today marks the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in 1990. Signed by President George H.W. Bush, the law brought civil rights and protections to not only people with disabilities, but everyone, in the workplace, schools, and communities.

I had the opportunity to see the ADA Legacy Tour (Wayback Machine), a cross-country interactive exhibit promoting disability rights as civil rights, when it stopped in Detroit’s Eastern Market.

You see a post on Facebook or Twitter from someone you interact with online. They’re not a close friend, family member or someone you work with.

It’s someone you met through Twitter, an online game, or they belong to one of your Facebook groups, but you’ve never met them in person.

They’re saying their wife or son is missing. Could you let them know if you see their missing family member?
