Axe-con Online Digital Accessibility Conference Returns March 15-17, 2022

Returning for the second year on March 15-17, 2022, the free, virtual axe-con 2022 conference offers three days of learning about building accessible digital experiences.

Hosted by Deque Systems, axe-con 2022 will have over 80 sessions with top experts discussing building, testing, and maintaining accessible digital experiences.

Named for Deque’s  axe-core project, an open source library and accessibility testing engine, the conference features a variety of presentations, including case studies, accessibility compliance, best practices, and updates from technology leaders from around the world.

What You Need to Know

Axe-con kicks off at 9:00am Eastern Daylight Time on March 15, 2022, with keynotes in the morning by:

  • Sir Tim Berners-Lee
  • Preety Kumar, Dylan Barrell
  • Jenny Lay-Flurrie

The four-track sessions of development, design, organizational success with accessibility, and wildcard begin at 11am on Wednesday, March 15.

On March 16 and 17, sessions start at 9am Eastern Daylight Time.

For the interactive sessions, attendees will find:

  • Live captions
  • Online networking and chat

Attendance at axe-con sessions can be used toward continuing education toward International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) certification.

While the conference is free, pre-registration is required.
