As you might imagine, a brilliant red bird will catch your eye whether you’re on a trail in the Michigan woods or looking at the crested Northern Cardinal at your bird feeder.

Remember and Honor: Memorial Day 2021

This morning I joined more than 150 community members at our Canton Township Memorial Day service at Heritage Park to honor and remember those who died in service to the United States.

Hosted by the Canton Fire Department, the Memorial Day service marked the 10th anniversary of our Veteran’s Memorial Center.

The center honors the “Fallen 22” Marines deployed for duty in 2006-07 to Iraq who made the ultimate sacrifice. Continue reading Remember and Honor: Memorial Day 2021
