Our meetup group is hosting Lightning Talks, where each speaker has 10 minutes to share their knowledge on a topic they’re passionate about.

What I’ll Be Presenting
My presentation is on Accessible Content, something I care deeply about.
I’ll explain why accessibility matters and the business case for making your content more accessible.
In addition, I’ll discuss:
- What accessibility is
- Who is affected by accessibility
- How to make your online content accessible
Whether you’re a designer, developer, engineer, marketer, or content author, you’ll walk away with actionable tips you can use today to improve accessibility of your online content.

Registration
Our meetup is 6:30pm to 8:30pm on September 21, 2017. Pre-registration ($5.00 cost) is required.
We’re meeting on the fourth floor of Grand Circus, at 1570 Woodward in downtown Detroit (directions and map).
Parking
Parking is available at the Detroit Opera House parking garage on Broadway for $8 (unless there’s a special event). The Detroit Opera House parking garage is a short walk up Broadway and around the corner from the Grand Circus space.
Street parking is also available on Washington Boulevard (one block west of Grand Circus, a short three-minute walk, depending on where you park). Prepare to pay by credit card or use the Detroit Park app.
You’ll also find parking in several nearby parking structures and parking lots.
Note: many downtown lots and structures only take cash.
