24 Hours of UX Returns June 8th

The world’s largest UX community-led conference returns for the third year on June 8, 2022 for 24 hours of online user experience learning.

Organized by 24 Labs, a non-profit organization of local and independent UX practitioners from around the world, 24 Hours of UX is a grassroots initiative bringing local communities to a global audience.

At the 24-hour virtual conference, speakers from six continents will share their stories from the field on inclusion, accessibility, sustainability, and the impact of design.

About 24 Hours of UX

Launched in 2020 when the pandemic started, 24 Hours of UX aims to educate, share knowledge, and connect people in the user experience field with each other.

The organizers use a different approach for event organization: reaching out to local communities who were no longer able to host in-person events.

24 Hours of UX asks local communities to share the state of UX in their location; those communities propose speakers to participate in the conference.

This year, 24 Hours of UX features four keynotes:

  1. The Black Experience in Healthcare, Dr. Gyles Morrison
  2. Transforming Toward Customer-Centricity, Debbie Levitt
  3. Dispelling the Seven Deadly Myths of Product Design, John Bowie
  4. Making Sense of Career Progression, Jonathan Yap

The event schedule has a wide range of 30-minute to one-hour presentations, networking, and panel discussions in a single track.

The schedule is organized into three topics:

  • Ecosystem
  • Personal
  • Collective

Event Details

As a global event across multiple time zones, 24 Hours of UX kicks off June 8, 2022 at 7:00am Central Eastern Time.

Depending on your time zone, you’ll find the event stretches across three days: June 7, June 8, and June 9, 2022.

The event is online. Pre-registration is required, cost is $24.00 (U.S. dollars).

What I liked about the registration site: it automatically adjusted to my time, zone showing event times for Eastern Daylight Time. Nicely done!

Note: 24 Hours of UX will be held in English, except for two presentations in Spanish (which will have an English interpreter).

As of today, I noticed over 1,100 people have registered.

Summary

The third 24 Hours of UX virtual conference kicks off June 8, 2022 for 24 hours of user experience learning.

Personally, I like the local community focus of the event and I’m looking forward to attending talks about inclusive design, healthcare, and localization.

I’ve registered and hope you consider joining me in learning from local UX communities from around the world.
