WordFest Live, Online WordPress Festival, Returns March 4, 2022

Mark your calendar!

The third edition of the 24-hour global celebration of WordPress in 2022, WordFest Live, returns March 4, 2022.

The virtual event has 45+ planned sessions for the WordPress community.

Join WordPress users across 93 global territories for a day full of sessions, talks, workshops, and celebrations.

What is WordFest?

Organized by a team of WordCamp organizers, WordFest is a 24-hour online event, hosted by A Big Orange Heart.

Its goal to bring together people in the WordPress community in a safe environment to connect, learn, and celebrate.

Talks, workshops, live Q&A, and a custom social space to network and connect with others are part of WordFest.

Sessions will be held in six time zones:

  • Australia
  • Asia
  • Africa
  • Europe
  • South America
  • North America

I appreciate the attention to detail for the scheduled sessions: each session includes a link to view the event in your local time.

What You Need to Know

WordFest Live 2022 is a free, online event that kicks off March 4, 2022. Pre-registration is required.

The online event features 48 sessions held over 24 hours, across two stages.

Review the schedule for sessions you’re interested in and note the time. With multiple time zones and two states, you don’t want to miss one of your favorite sessions.

Keep in mind the schedule is subject to change.

My recommendation: check the schedule the day before WordFest begins to confirm session times.

Here are a few sessions I plan to attend:

  • Rookie’s Reflection – My First-Year Journey with WordPress and Accessibility, presented by Sally Thoun
  • Overcoming Adversity: Keeping Yourself Together When Everything Falls Apart, presented by Kathy Zant
  • Mocking up Accessible Design, presented by Meg Miller
  • Zero Waste Web Design, presented by Tom Greenwood
  • Designing Remote, presented by Tammie Lister

Wrapping Up

WordFest Live 2022 offers a great learning opportunity, focusing on WordPress, remote working, and mental health.

I attended last year and met several WordPress users from around the world. And took away a number of helpful tips for my WordPress projects.

I’ve already registered, won’t you join me?
