WordCamp Columbus Returns for Seventh Year, Expands to Three Days

Returning for its seventh year, WordCamp Columbus will be held July 17–19, 2015 at two locations: the Ohio 4H Center at Ohio State University and the Vue in the Brewery District.

The annual event will have learning and networking opportunities for every WordPress user, from beginner to expert.

And for the first time, WordCamp Columbus expands to three days with the addition of a Contributor Day.

Here are the highlights:

  • Friday will include two full-day workshops, WordPress 101 and WordPress 201
  • Saturday offers sessions for WordPress users of all levels, Happiness Bar where you can get your WordPress questions answered, and a Developers Hackathon
  • Sunday is Contributor Day, where you’ll have an opportunity to give back to WordPress

My Experience at WordCamp Columbus

I’ve enjoyed WordCamp Columbus for the past two years, meeting other WordPress users and picking up new tips for working with WordPress.

I’ve connected with other user experience professionals, met WordPress users I follow on Twitter, and helped new users at WordPress beginner workshops.

Last year I had the pleasure of speaking about accessibility at WordCamp Columbus with my friend Jackie Keys. We had a great time talking about accessibility and answering questions about how to improve accessibility on WordPress sites.

Personally, I’m excited to see the results of the work from WordCamp Columbus lead organizer Angie Meeker and all the other people on the planning team.

WordCamp Columbus tickets go on sale May 1 for $40. Subscribe to the mailing list to stay current on updates.
