You’re invited! Join us at our West Metro Detroit WordPress meetup on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 for a member-led show and tell.
Members will showcase their own WordPress site, latest creative work, or a recently launched client project.
We love to celebrate the successes of our members as they learn something new about WordPress or publish their web projects.
Show and Tell
Whether you’re a designer, writer, business owner, developer, project manager, or digital marketer, we all have WordPress success stories to share.
We often get too focused on issues that aren’t going well with our WordPress web projects.
Instead, let’s share our success stories with each other!
Show and tells are one of my favorite types of events because they:
- Give members a chance to talk about their work
- Informal talk in casual setting
- Only 10-15 minutes
- Great opportunity to get to know each other better
- Help us learn more about WordPress
Here’s an opportunity to show off an elegant tool you built, a plugin that solved a frustrating issue, or simply take a few minutes to share lessons learned in a WordPress-related story.
No formal presentation required. If any of member wants to create a quick slide deck, they’re welcome to.
As of March 6, 2019, we have two speakers, Cleo Parker, talking about transitioning an HTML site to WordPress and Cliff Nowicki talking about getting published in an industry magazine.
We’re still looking for two to three other members.
Is that you?
If yes, email me or comment on this blog post what you’d like to talk about, and I’ll add you to the agenda.
Meetup Information and Registration
The meetup is Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm; pre-registration is required.
We’ll meet at the Grand Traverse Pie in Plymouth, Michigan (directions and map).
The meetup is free, but pre-registration is required. (It’s the only way you’ll get follow-up messages and notes. Plus, if we need to cancel, we want to reach you.)
As always, we’ll have networking and time for WordPress help and troubleshooting.
See You There!
Bring your laptop or paper and pencil to take notes.
I’m looking forward to the meetup and I hope you’ll join us for sharing, learning, and networking.
See you March 19th!
