Like many Americans last night, I spent the evening watching brilliant fireworks light up the summer sky. For the first time, I visited Trenton, Michigan, one of the metro Detroit suburbs along the Detroit River, to see their firework display. When I was growing up, we always had an old car in the driveway. It didn’t run, but it didn’t matter.
Dad loved to have an old car around that he could work on.
And we loved having an old car around that we could play in.
