As I crossed Temple on my way to TEDxDetroit 2018, I recognized the artist crouched on the sidewalk in front of Masonic Temple.

David Zinn, an Ann Arbor-based artist, was quickly creating one of his signature colorful street art illustrations on the sidewalk near the entrance.

Finding my way around Detroit’s Eastern Market regular shoppers, scooter riders, lines of vehicles, and tour groups looking at this year’s Murals in the Market was a challenge yesterday.

With cool temperatures, the first day of fall was a busy day at the market!

Wait, slow down a minute, I asked my husband yesterday as we drove down the paved road past Erie State Game Area near the Ohio/Michigan border.

I had seen two large splotches of white in the back of the pond and wanted a second look.
