I’ve had Dahlias in my flower garden for years, they’re one of my husband’s favorite blooming flowers.

The pink, purple, and orange long-lasting blooms brighten up our flower beds from late spring through early fall.

But I’ve only bought pre-established plants.

Photo of the Week: Sunflowers in Bloom

For years, it’s been no surprise for us to find sunflower seedlings sprouting underneath our bird feeders.

The bird food in our feeders has a large proportion of black oil sunflower seed.
