It was mid-afternoon when I made it to Sugarloaf last week, about seven miles outside of Marquette, Michigan.

The weather had changed from the bright sunny skies earlier in the day to a gray covered sky, with the prospect of rain and storms coming soon.

Photo of the Week: Hiking Leeann Park

With last week’s below zero wind chill temperatures and yesterday’s icy rain, I was glad to finally get outside and do some birding and hiking in our neighborhood park.

Photo of the Week: Newburgh Pointe in Autumn

It was a classic sunny autumn day in southeastern Michigan when I stopped at Newburgh Pointe at Edward Hines Park in Livonia, Michigan.
