Photo of the Week: Anise Hyssop

Spiky cylindrical flowers comprised of small violet-blue florets rise from whorls of long serrated green leaves on several upright plants. The violet-blue flowers are in different sizes, one appears to be almost three inches in size.

Excited to see my Anise hyssop (Agastache foeniculum) is blooming this week!

I planted them in February 2025, as part of the Wild Ones Wayne County winter sowing project. Seeds were planted in milk jugs and placed outdoors for cold stratfication.
