In the United States today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., civil rights activist, Baptist minister, and 1964 Nobel Peace Prize recipient.
His words and actions inspire us to do more, to stand up for equality, and to not accept injustice.
A man dies when he refuses to stand up for that which is right. A man dies when he refuses to stand up for justice. A man dies when he refuses to take a stand for that which is true.
Learn About Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
I’ve shared The Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute at Stanford University website before on my blog.
It’s one of my favorite resources for learning about his work and life.
As I have done for the past few years on MLK Day, I started my day listening to King’s reading of his letter from the Birmingham, Alabama jail.
How are you spending Martin Luther King Jr. Day?
