Congrats to the University of California, Berkeley club tennis team on their championship win at the USTA Tennis on Campus National Championship Tournament this weekend in Surprise, Arizona!
For the past four days, I’ve been in Arizona watching my son’s club tennis team from Ferris State University participate in the tournament along with 63 other college club tennis teams.
It was a great time to watch tennis matches in the World TeamTennis format, but it was hot! Every day but the last day was over 90 degrees. On Friday, the temperature reached 100 degrees. Ouch!

If you haven’t heard of it, Tennis on Campus is a growing program, providing opportunities for college students to build leadership, network with other college students, and compete in year-round matches as well as regional and national championship tournaments.
Over 350 colleges and universities in the United States and Canada have club teams participating in Tennis on Campus.
For students who played tennis in high school, it’s a wonderful way to continue playing tennis in college, without the commitment required of a college varsity program.
