In the early morning hours, with the bright sun rising over Ford Lake in Ypsilanti, Michigan, we find Belted Kingfishers, Hooded Mergansers, Mallards, and, of course, the ever-present Canada Geese on the waters of the calm lake.
Temperatures are swinging back and forth between the teens and 40 degree Farenheit.

The blue skies and golden sunshine almost make you forget the chill in the air as you peer through the bare tree branches at the winter birds.
